what is the penticton night market?
It is a weekly summer market at Gyro Park. Think food trucks, great finds, live music, sunsets by the lake, and a lot of people hanging out on a Thursday night.
when is the market?
Every Thursday from 5:30 to 9:30 pm, starting the third Thursday in May and running through the second Thursday in September.
is it happening every Thursday night?
Almost. Thursday nights all summer long at the Penticton Night Market, except during Peach Fest week and the Peach City Beach Cruise, when the park is being used for those great events. If something existential happens we will update everyone on our socials.
where is it?
Gyro Park, Penticton BC, right on Lakeshore Drive across from the hotel. If you see the big band shell, you are in the right place. Location map can be found here.
is it free to come?
Yes. Totally free to walk through and enjoy.
is it kid friendly?
Yes. Bring the whole crew.
can i bring my dog?
Of course. Dogs are better than people. They are always welcome. Just keep them leashed and clean up after your furry friend.

what will be there?
Food trucks, great finds, live music, sunset views, and a whole lot of people enjoying a summer evening by the lake.
will the same vendors be there every week?
You’ll definitely see some familiar faces, many of our vendors join us regularly throughout the season so you can come back for your favourites.
We also have a drop-in program, which means we’ll be mixing in new vendors along the way to keep things fresh. Some weeks you’ll come for what you know, other weeks you’ll discover something new.
will there be food trucks every week?
Yes. Food is a big part of the market and the lineup may change week to week.
will there be other activities?
Yes. We have some fun things planned for the summer. We will share those on our socials as the schedule comes together.
is there parking nearby?
Yes. There is both paid and free parking all around the downtown lake area. If you are lucky you might even snag a spot right beside Gyro Park.
what if it rains?
Rain does not stop us. We are there rain or sunshine. Something dramatic like a tornado might change things, but for the most part the market goes ahead.

how do i become a vendor?
Head over to the vendor application page on this site and fill out the form.
what kinds of vendors are you looking for?
We are looking for a great mix of products that make the market fun to explore.
do you accept food vendors and food trucks?
Yes. No food would be a travesty.
do you accept musicians or performers?
Yes. Local artists, musicians, and buskers are a big part of the vibe.
does applying mean i am automatically in?
Not always. We review applications so we can keep a good mix of vendors at the market.
is space limited?
Yes. Space can fill up quickly.
vendor setup
do i need my own tent and setup?
Yes. Vendors must bring a self contained setup including their own tent, tables, displays, and 30 pound tent weights.
do i need insurance?
Yes. Vendors must carry 3 million dollars in liability insurance.
is electricity available?
Yes, but only on a limited basis.
what time is vendor setup?
Setup runs from 4:00 to 5:30 pm. Vendors must be fully set-up and ready to open at 5:30 pm.
what time is take-down?
Take-down runs from 9:30 to 11:00 pm.
do vendors have to stay the whole time?
Yes. Vendors must stay open during market hours.
vendor policies
can i sell the same thing as another vendor?
Sometimes. We try to keep a good mix of products so the market stays fun to explore. Some categories may be limited depending on what is already accepted.
do you accept resellers, direct sales, or mlm vendors?
We do accept select resellers, but MLM and direct sales vendors are not permitted.
what happens after i apply?
We review applications on a rolling basis. When accepted, you will receive an email with the vendor agreement and contract form. Once that is completed, we will see you at the market.
what if i need to cancel my vendor date?
We require 72 hours notice for cancellations. Full details are outlined in our terms and conditions and on the vendor application form.
are vendor booth fees refundable or transferable?
No. All vendor booth bookings are non refundable and non transferable, as outlined in the application and vendor agreement.
